Laura Harrel (Director)

She has been at Happy Day since 1999.

Music, inspirational writing, nature hikes and photo art are some of her interests. She loves listening to children and how they process and express their ideas, and telling stories to children that teach life applications.

Charlotte Hurt (Teacher, 4 Year-Old Class, Assistant Director)

She has been at Happy Day since 1996.

She enjoys hiking, sewing and being involved in her children’s activities. Her favorite part of teaching is observing the children as they learn and discover new things.

Abby Wolcott (Kindergarten Teacher, Supervisor)

She has been a teacher since 2002.

She looks forward to photography, relaxing with a good book, hiking, and working on arts and crafts during her spare time. She is always amazed at how quickly children learn, and how much knowledge they absorb in such a short amount of time.

Rona Ngirmang (Head Teacher, 4 Year-Old Class, Supervisor)

She has been a teacher since 2001.

She enjoys summer hikes, going on long drives and appreciating God’s works of art. Music, and enjoying the company of friends and family are among her favorite things to do. She loves seeing the children grow and learn and welcomes every opportunity to share God’s Word with them.

Penny Summers (Head Teacher, 3 Year-Old Class)

She has been a teacher since 2006.

She sews, camps, plays the violin and enjoys deep-sea fishing. She takes pleasure in watching the children’s delight as they grasp new concepts.

Kristal Summers (Graphic Designer)

She has been a teacher since 2007, and a graphic designer since 2015.

She enjoys hiking, kayaking, martial arts, camping, drawing, graphic design work, and trips to the Oregon coast.

Ali Dieter (Teacher)

She has been a teacher since 2010.

She enjoys spending time with her four children. Interacting with the students on the playground and assisting them with their arts and crafts are her favorite moments.

Lisa Coppola (Teacher)

She has been a teacher since 2017.

She loves watching the children succeed and seeing the growth that takes place as they learn. She enjoys crafts, swimming, shopping, Hallmark Channel, cooking, and baking.

Rosa Gutierrez (Cook)

She has been our cook since 2015.

She enjoys hiking, camping, spending time with her family, and loves teaching the children at her church how to cook. She prepares delicious, home-style meals for our students to enjoy.

Emily Hare (Teacher’s Assistant)

She has been a teacher since 2018.

She loves seeing the kids grow daily, whether it’s learning how to count, color in the lines, or seeing student friendships blossom in the classroom. When she’s not at work she enjoys reading, art journaling, painting, and spending time with her family.
